Elizabeth Ynez-Tulsen studied jazz and classical singing at Trinity College of Music, London. She has sung in some of the countries top venues, including Westminster Abbey, Royal Albert Hall and Covent Garden. She spent two years as a radio news producer and presenter for BFBS, the British Forces Broadcasting Service.
Originally from Lancashire, Elizabeth grew up in an old people's home near Burton-On-Trent. It was here she first discovered the some of the great voices of the Golden Era: Deanna Durbin, Gracie Fields, Vera Lynn, Johnny Green, Anne Shelton, The Andrews Sisters, Nat Gonella, Mario Lanza, Adelaide Hall, Issy Bonn and the big bands of Glenn Miller, Billy Cotton, Geraldo and Ivy Benson.

But it was the stories she heard of everyday life during World War Two which ultimately inspired Putting On the Blitz.

A tale of life and love in wartime Britain...
